Returning again in 2026 – Professional PRCA Announcer Andy Seiler & Roger Mooney

Andy Seiler

Andy Seiler has never met a stranger. His passion and love for the sport of rodeo combined with his broadcast journalism degree make his career choice as a rodeo announcer a winning combination. Seiler has been announced all over the country in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and was selected to announce the 2020 National Finals Rodeo in Arlington, TX. “I have always enjoyed talking to people and discussing everything rodeo,” Andy explains. “I just never knew that the years of roping the dummy and working to be a champion translate later in life in trying to give contestants and fans alike that same winning feeling.”

As a student at Troy University, Seiler traveled to smaller rodeos in the Southeast competing in college rodeos and announcing amateur rodeos until 2007. After winning the Walt Garrison Award of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA), his life as an announcer changed forever and he moved into the PRCA. Seiler was given the opportunity to co-announce the 2008 CNFR and has since worked RodeoHouston, The Clark County Fair & Rodeo, the Rooftop Rodeo, and the Caldwell Night Rodeo. In 2015, Seiler also traveled with the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) to announce in Madison Square Garden the Built Ford Tough Series Event.

Andy’s first-hand knowledge and experience will keep your crowd tuning into the action to see what exciting development will unfold next. A former National High School Finals Champion Team Roper and a three-time qualifier to the College National Finals Rodeo, Andy has been able to win at multiple levels and now enjoys describing the joy of victory and the heartbreak of defeat to rodeo spectators nationwide. “I truly enjoy being a part of an industry that embodies an American icon that is the cowboy,” Seiler says. “I grew up on a farm, loving the honesty, toughness, and integrity that comes with the ranching and farming way of life and today’s contestants keep that tradition of yesterday alive.”

Roger Mooney

Roger Mooney, comes to you from Ellijay, GA. Roger’s career began by accident in 1984 when in college, he stepped in for the scheduled rodeo announcer who had a heart attack. In short time, he went from being a contestant, to one of the best rodeo announcers in the world. In 2024, Roger announced his 9th Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Some of his additional accolades include the Calgary Stampede, the Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo, the National High School Rodeo Finals, and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association Announcer of the Year.

Roger has announced as many as 63 rodeos in one season. In over 35 years, he has announced approximately 4,000 rodeos in North America, and counting. When not rodeoing, Mooney can be found in the recording studio making radio and TV commercials, raising registered Angus cattle or playing with his two kids, Cash and Morgan. You can also catch him on occasion on the Cowboy Channel, RFD-TV, CBS Sports Network, and the Wrangler Network.
